Love Is the Greatest

"If I could speak all the languages of earth and of angels, but didn't love others, I would only be a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal. If I had the gift of prophecy, and if I understood all of God's secret plans and possessed all knowledge, and if I had such faith that I could move mountains, but didn't love others, I would be nothing. If I gave everything I have to the poor and even sacrificed my body, I could boast about it, but if I didn't love others, I would have gained nothing." 1 Cor. 13:1-3

God has taught me a lot in 2009 about that four letter word, L-O-V-E. What is Love?

"Love is patient and kind. Love is not jealous or boastful or proud or rude. It does not demand it's own way. It is not irritable, and it keeps no record of being wronged. IT does not rejoice about injustice but rejoices whenever the truth wins out. Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstance." 1 Cor. 13:4-7

Wow, such great verses to live our lives by - wouldn't you agree? A few times this past year I have seeked God in how to respond to certain situations and I always came back to 1 Corinthians 13. We are to be patient and kind. We are to never give up on people, be hopeful and not keep any record of wrongs. We are to love always!

I've been reading a book by Bill Johnson and I love what he writes. "God's love for people is beyond comprehension and imagination. He is for us, not against us. God is good 100 percent of the time. These realities burn deeply into the hearts of all who simply take the time to behold Him."

I just love that. God loves us more than we can think or imagine. He only wants the best for us - He is good ALL the time. Not some of the time or most of the time but ALL of the time. If He's good all the time then we know that it is not Him that brings sickness, pain, abuse, etc. He brings GOOD out of the bad but He doesn't want bad things to happen to us. If he wanted bad things to happen to us then He wouldn't be good all the time and we know that He is because that's what His Word says! What a joy it is to know Jesus and trust Him in every situation in our lives! We have the choice everyday to love Him and trust Him no matter what life brings. As we trust Him it will be evident in our lives that He is taking care of us, providing for us, and He will never leave us! It's up to us to believe it and live in victory. It's up to us to let those realities burn deeply into our hearts.

I wanted to update on the kids but they are up from their naps and I have laundry to fold and dinner to get started. I will post soon with updates on the kids and will have some videos to share once I can sit down and upload them.

Blessed to know Jesus,
Keri

We're Moving!

Jeremy and I are excited to share that we are moving! We have been praying that God would provide a 3 bedroom house to rent that's in our budget and He has brought the cutest place to us. It's our friend's house so it's really cool that we are able to help them out by renting their place and for them to know that we will take good care of it and in return they have blessed us with a cheaper rent due to us being friends.

I have always loved old homes, they are full of charm, character and are so unique. The house was built in 1890, it's 120 years old! Of course it has been beautifully updated and it's just gorgeous. The kitchen is my favorite part of the house, every time I am in it it makes me want to bake cookies! It has beautiful hardwood floors throughout, 3 bedrooms, 3 full baths, beautifully painted, 2 fireplaces, 2 car garage, a deck, a large backyard with fence and more space for us. It's in a downtown so we can take stroller walks with the kids in the summer, so fun! We will be moving in the next couple weeks and we can't wait! (Ok, except for the actual moving part!)

We are unsure how long we will be here but for at least a year and we'll see from there. Here are a few pictures of our new home, eeeek! :)

It's been half a year....

Since our baby girl was born! Can you believe that? I cannot. It seems like just yesterday I was overdue and waiting for her to make her appearance and now she's already 6 months old. It's hard to believe.

Gracelyn is doing great. She is the sweetest little thing and I am just so in love with and thank God so much for giving me such a precious baby GIRL! I love having one of each, and am so glad she has a big brother :) She is scooting everywhere, getting up on all fours, trying to talk, "Baaa Baaa Baaa Baaa" and is just a joy. She is lovin' all sorts of baby food, even spinach! (Which Ethan loved also) She loves her big brother and he can make her laugh like no one else, it's the cutest thing! I can't wait to see them grow up together and for Gracelyn to be able to play with Ethan. She tries to play with him right now but of course is limited with her scooting. It's like the tortoise and the hare....Ethan runs off and Gracelyn slowly scoots trying to catch him, lol.

As far as her sleeping habits, well, they haven't been the greatest lately. She used to sleep so well for us at night but for the past month she is getting up 2-4 times in the night. Ever since she got sick with that cold that lasted a month her sleeping went downhill. So, momma is feeling more tired now than she was when Gracelyn was just a newborn. Oh well, it is what it is and eventually she will sleep through the night. I don't like to complain about these things (or talk about it much for that matter, then you just have people asking you every week how she's sleeping, if she's sleeping any better, etc and that gets old real fast) and you sign up for sleepless nights when you have a baby and I wouldn't trade it for the world. She was a ball full of energy at 5am this morning. I got up with her and she just played for a good 45 minutes on her belly while I surfed the internet and then she fell asleep on the floor. I quickly picked her up and put her in her crib as I was more than ready to climb back into bed myself.

Just for fun, here's a 6 month photo comparison of Gracelyn and Ethan at 6 months. Both are sooo cute:)

Happy 6 months to our sweet baby girl, we love you so much! I have her 6 month check up next week so I will be sure and post her stats when I get them. All is well with us, it sure is getting cold outside....time to put some plastic on the windows to keep us warm! I'm making a trip to Home Depot tonight.

Hope all is well with everyone and that you are enjoying the season :) I love Christmas time!!

Much love,
Momma Keri

Ps. I am waiting to get the CD of our session with our photographer any day now and once I do I have some adorable pictures to post.

Thanksgiving

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving filled with food and family. We spent Thanksgiving day at my In-laws and had a wonderful Thanksgiving meal (thanks again for cooking Jude!). Ethan of course loved playing with Kyle (Jeremy's brother's dog) and when I turned my head for a quick second I found Kyle licking Gracelyn's face....LOVELY! Not a fan of dog's licking my children's faces. Gross. Anyhow, it was nice to be together.

I had mentioned to Jer later that night that we could drive down to Bair Lake for just the day on Friday if we were up for it but we never really talked more about it and watched a movie and went to bed. I awoke Friday morning to Jer saying, "I thought we could go to Bair Lake today if you want". I was definitely up for it so we packed the kids up and made the 2 1/2 hour drive. I'm so glad we did! We didn't tell anyone we were coming so it was such a fun surprise and it was so nice to see all of my family. The Petke's are the most fun family and being with all of them is always one of my favorite times. We left around 9:30, got home at midnight and we were all ready for bed!

We have so much to be thankful for yet again this year. I feel so blessed with all the wonderful things God has given us and I couldn't be more thankful. I have a husband who I am in love with, 2 beautiful kids, great friends, great family, a place to live, clothes to wear, a car to drive, hot showers every morning and the list goes on and on. Thank you Jesus for your love and for blessing our lives with so much!

I will leave you with a small sneak peek from our Christmas photo shoot. This is the only picture I have seen so far and of course I am in love with it! Christina does a fantastic job, she is my favorite photographer! I can't wait to see the rest of the pictures!

Love to all,

What's new with us...

Have I mentioned that our baby girl is scooting now? She pushes her one foot off the ground to move forward and she gets around quite easily now. She's been doing this for a couple weeks. It's hard to believe she's already at that age. Ethan never scooted or crawled so it's fun to see her go through these stages. She can almost get up on all fours, she keeps trying! I'm pretty sure she will be crawling in the near future:)

Ethan had her laughing so hard the other day and he wasn't even trying to make her laugh or doing anything funny. I got some of it on video but it was kinda dark so it's not the best video. She just loves to watch him and he loves playing with her. I just love how much they already love each other, and I think the fact that they are so close in age is definitely so fun! They will be best friends, I can already tell.

We've had a couple play dates this week and Ethan loves to play with other kids. He's still not adjusted to being left in the nursery at church but we keep trying every week. He loves being with the kids but he doesn't like when mom and dad try and sneak away into service. So, we will continue to go and eventually he will feel comfortable and understand that we are coming back for him.

The four of us went to take dinner to some friends of ours last night who just had their 3rd baby and Ethan loved playing with the girls and all their toys. They had a vacuum and dustbuster that actually makes noise so he was in heaven! We have one that he plays with a lot but it doesn't make the sounds this one did, it was pretty neat. Our friends have a cat (achooo!) and so mom left all stuffed up, itching and just not breathing the same. We all got into new clothes when we got home and I stayed outside for a bit to breathe in the fresh air. We definitely could never have a cat!

Speaking of animals, Ethan sure loves dogs! He laughs so hard when he plays with a dog, chases it's tail, etc. It's his hardest laugh. It's so funny because I begged my parents for a dog growing up. I remember thinking if they let me get one they would never have to buy me another Christmas gift (haha, so funny as a kid how badly you can want something). Now that I have my own kids I have NO desire for a dog. I'm a clean person and the thought of dog hair (or any animal hair for that matter) on my carpet and my kids rolling around and playing on the carpet really is not appealing to me. Plus they smell and are expensive and a lot of work. Ethan will have to enjoy other people's dogs because I'm pretty confident we won't be getting one any time soon:)

Well, Jeremy and I have decided we won't be going to Bair Lake this year for Thanksgiving. We are super bummed out as it's always a lot of fun and really the only time we have with the Petke side of the family. We went back and forth a million times about it but we just know that Ethan doesn't sleep well away from home and if he doesn't sleep for us then we won't enjoy ourselves anyways so we are taking a year off. Next year should be easier as he will probably be in a big kid bed by then and so he can sleep with daddy when we go away. We will go over to Jeremy's parents instead for the day and then just enjoy the rest of the days off together as a family and just relaxing. Perhaps a bit of Christmas shopping also.

So, I am really excited about my latest steal of a deal! I bought Gracelyn her toddler car seat yesterday. I found out about a deal on a Britax car seat (one of the very best, we wanted this one for Ethan but it was just too much $). Anyhow, it's a Britax Boulevard and it runs $309.99 and I got it for $189.99!! Free shipping too! I am so excited and I love the fabric it's so girly and fun! Here's what it looks like:

Oh the fun things you can buy for a little girl :)

We are getting our pictures done on Sunday and I am really excited. The photographer that did Gracelyn's newborn pictures is coming to do Christmas pictures for us. I am going to have her make me 100 5x7 Christmas Card pictures to sent out with my newsletter this year, they will be adorable:) I even splurged (which I never do on clothes) and bought them both an adorable Christmas outfit. I can't wait to see how stinkin' cute they look in them, it will be Ethan's fanciest outfit to date :) Be ready to see some adorable pictures and don't worry Grandma's, you will be able to buy the pictures individually if you would like! I hope to get some good ones of each of the kids separately as well as some of them together and some family shots. Should be fun.

Have a blessed weekend!

Psalm 37:3-5

I was feeling a little discouraged this morning about some things and I knew I needed to get my Bible out and soak up some scripture.

I read these verses this morning and they blessed me. I thank God for His Word and that we are able to read it and meditate on it whenever we want. What a blessing.

"Trust in the Lord and do good. Then you will live safely in the land and prosper. Take delight in the Lord, and he will give you your heart's desires. Commit everything you do to the Lord. Trust him, and he will help you." Psalm 37:3-5, NLT.

Good stuff huh? So that is what I am choosing to do today. I'm going to keep trusting Him, do good, taking delight in Him, committing my life and desires to Him and he will help me and give me the desires of my heart.

Plus it's hard to feel down long when I have these healthy, beautiful, little people following me around all day :)

My little boy and girl who adore each other...so precious!

And now, pictures of the sweetest and most beautiful baby girl in the universe!

5 months ago today...

Our sweet baby girl was born! Wow, I really cannot believe it's already been that long. She's almost a half a year old! What a wonderful addition she has been to our family...I'm not quite sure yet if she makes our family complete but she will definitely be the baby of the family for awhile. She's so sweet and I just couldn't be more blessed to have a healthy little boy and girl. I just love them!! Here is a picture of Gracelyn that I took this morning and then Ethan's 5 month picture. They really don't look that much alike if you ask me....but I've said that all along:)

And Here is our little man at 5 months

I think Ethan looks more like a Harrison and Gracelyn more like a Petke....although most people say they both look just like me, lol. Jeremy says he prefers it that way;) We think Ethan's hair color will be similar to Jer's color now, maybe a little lighter but he definitely seems to have some red in it. So Jude, you just may have your little red headed grandchild after all:) Time will tell. I didn't realize how much lighter Ethan's skin is then Gracelyn's until I put these pictures up. Ethan definitely has his daddy's light skin and Gracelyn has mine.

Now, here are a few pictures of Ethan's newest favorite thing to do.

He has decided that taking each toy out of his toy bin one by one and piling them on the couch is fun. We just let him do it and laugh. He also likes to pile as many toys in Gracelyn's exersaucer as possible when she's IN it. Lovely.

And finally, my last and most favorite picture to leave you with. We had just put both kids to bed and Jeremy went into our room and said, "Ker, come here for a sec." He then takes me into the bathroom and shows me this:

I died laughing. We have no idea what happened. Our assumption is that Ethan somehow threw something in the toilet when we weren't watching and one of us used the bathroom and flushed it without looking? It obviously was something of soap substance but we cannot figure out for the life of us what it was. It smelled good...like apples or pears, lol. It will remain an unsolved mystery but as I mentioned we do have a suspect in mind but have decided to close the case and drop all charges.

Oh the adventures with little ones:)

iHeart Revolution

Wow. What an incredible and powerful movie. Jeremy and I went last night and it was awesome. Hillsong United has been working on putting together a movie for the past 3 to 4 years and it aired last night. They did a live performance from Australia for the first 30 minutes which was way cool! Then the actual iHeart movie started at 8 and went until 10:00. It was a one night thing and 500 movie theaters in the US were showing it as well as Canada and then of course Australia. It was super neat. The movie was just powerful. It was full of clips from the past 4 years of their travels from all over the world and all the hurt and needs in the world....and in the end it was the story of love and redemption and how Jesus is love and how he gave his life and died for us so we could live and how he gives hope to the hopeless! I could go on and on but I highly recommend for you to watch it once it comes out on DVD so you can see for yourself.

I have a new favorite song which is on the newest United CD and I have been playing it over and over today. It is SO powerful. You don't have to go to Africa to change the world. We can be His hands and His feet right where we are. On our streets ya know?

Check out i-heart.org for more info on the movie if you're interested and here's the best song EVER! Turn your speakers up!

Look what Mommy did!

So Daddy has been bugging me for awhile now to cut Ethan's hair. I have been putting it off because I like his little curls in the back even though they are a bit wild and out of control. It took him forever to get hair and he still doesn't have a ton of it so I have been putting it off. Well, I gave him a bath last night and decided to trim it in the back just a little bit. I can't believe how different he looks to me just by a little trim, he looks like a little boy! I saved his hair in a ziploc and Jer was making fun of me, wondering how long I would hold on to it. I told him forever! :) I will take him to get a real haircut soon as it isn't super even but hey not bad for my first haircut :)

The Lion & The Lamb :)

Well, this Halloween was definitely colder and a lot more windy than the previous year. It did not go exactly as I imagined it but Ethan still had a great time which is all that matters right? Instead of taking his little pumpkin basket to the houses and getting candy for mom he just ran and ran and ran. He seriously never stopped! His costume suited him well this year....a wild and roaming lion! (In the middle of the street too, gotta love it!) We got all of 8 pieces of candy and 5 of the 8 were from Grandma and Grandpa, ha! I suppose this is better anyways since I am dieting :)

He wasn't a big fan of his mane but I knew once we let him run wild outside he would forget about it and he did. We took some video of the kids so that will be fun to have and watch when they are teenagers...you know, clips to show at their weddings:)

Gracelyn our little lamb was so adorable. I got her in her costume and she was content as could be and didn't put up a fuss...it was pretty warm and cozy though:) I was trying to hard so get a really cute shot of them together but it just didn't happen. Maybe next year!

Here are a couple pics of our fun night!

Somebody loves Sweet Potatoes!

I thought since Gracelyn has been eating Rice & Apples (baby applesauce) the past week or so I would try some sweet potatoes. She loved them and devoured the entire jar! This girl can eat...she kept grabbing my hand and putting the spoon in her mouth as if I wasn't feeding her fast enough, haha...silly peanut.

She loves to talk. She has always been a talker since the day we brought her home but man she is so loud talking sometimes Jeremy and I just can't believe it. In fact, she was just in her exersaucer having a grand ole' time talking away and woke her brother up from his nap. That's ok, it was about time for him to wake up anyways.

Here's a few pics of Gracelyn eating her sweet potatoes....I can't believe she's mine, she's SO beautiful!!

My babies:)

I am just so in love with these kids of mine! Ethan is growing up so much and always copying everything Jeremy and I do, it's so adorable. Gracelyn is just a sweet thing and always has the biggest smiles for me in the mornings when I go to get her. I love them to pieces and love being a mom!

Here are some adorable pictures I took of them yesterday. The last one is my favorite. Ethan's face is so precious in it. He really loves his sister, it's so cute to watch.

Ethan kissing Gracelyn

Ethan being his sweet self and lovin' on his little sister

They are starting to get better but are still sick. Ethan's nose has finally stopped running but he still has a cough. Gracelyn's nose is still running a little and she's still stuffed up at night. I can't believe how long this cold/cough has dragged on, almost a month! They are both in good spirits and I'm having lots of fun with them.

Ethan and I sing and dance to "Oh Happy Day" at least once a day...we've been putting worship music on everyday, he just loves music! After we chose his name when I was pregnant with him we read Psalm 89 (A psalm of Ethan the Ezrahite) and I loved the first two verses and got them painted on his Noah's Ark painting. They say, "I will sing of the Lord's unfailing love forever! Young and old will hear of your faithfulness. Your unfailing love will last forever. Your faithfulness is as enduring as the heavens." I always wondered before he was even born if he would be musical or like music (both his parents love it!) and so it's kinda neat that he does. It's too early to say if he will be musical at all but he definitely loves listening to music and dancing.

Gracelyn tried baby food (apples) for the first time this past week. She wasn't so sure what to think of it at first but she got used to the sweetness a little more and seemed to eat some of it. She is the most beautiful little girl and I just love cuddling with her. She is still very attached to me and doesn't like it when I'm out of sight for more than 10 minutes, ha! Makes life a little hard for daddy at times but I usually take her with me wherever I go. Anyhow, she's so sweet and I thank God for giving me the little girl I always dreamed about. Here's some pics of her tasting her first apples :)

On a mommy note, I lost another 2 lbs:) I have now lost 12.5 lbs and I have just 5.5 lbs left to go to hit my goal! I am hoping to get there by Christmas. With Halloween and Thanksgiving coming up it may take a little longer:) Once I hit my goal that will be the weight I was before I was pregnant with Ethan so that will be really exciting for me. I'm quite proud of myself:)

Well, Ethan is ready for his nap so I gotta get going. Hope you enjoyed the pictures of our two blessings.

Psalm 34

God pays attention to those who call on him. Whether God offers escape from trouble or help in times of trouble, we can be certain that he always hears and acts on behalf of those who love him.

David (in the Bible) pretended to be insane in order to escape from King Achish. I think this Psalm is so wonderful because God loves us so much and protects us from harm all the time and we don't even know it. He provides for us, he rescues us in times of trouble and he hears our prayers. It is so wonderful to know Him. He's definitely rescued me in times of trouble. Knowing Jesus brings so much joy and happiness and freedom....freedom from fear, freedom from the devil's lies, the list goes on and on. What a privilege it is to know Him.

Psalm 34 is what I read in my devotions this morning (I know, what gave it away right?:)) and I thought I would share it with you because it's so good!

I will praise the Lord at all times. I will constantly speak his praises.
I will boast only in the Lord; let all who are helpless take heart.
Come, let us tell of the Lord's greatness; let us exalt his name together.
I prayed to the Lord, and he answered me. He freed me from all my fears.
Those who look to him for help will be radiant with joy; no shadow of shame will darken their faces.
In my desperation I prayed, and the Lord listened; he saved me from all my troubles.
For the angel of the Lord is a guard; he surrounds and defends all who fear him.
Taste and see that the Lord is good. Oh, the joys of those who take refuge in him!
Fear the Lord, you his godly people, for those who fear him will have all they need.
Even strong young lions sometimes go hungry, but those who trust in the Lord will lack no good thing.
Come, my children, and listen to me, and I will teach you to fear the Lord.
Does anyone want to live a life that is long and prosperous?
Then keep your tongue from speaking evil and your lips from telling lies!
Turn away from evil and do good. Search for peace, and work to maintain it.
The eyes of the Lord watch over those who do right; his ears are open to their cries for help.
But the Lord turns his face against those who do evil; he will erase their memory from the earth.
The Lord hears his people when they call to him for help. He rescues them from all their troubles.
The Lord is close to the brokenhearted; he rescues those whose spirits are crushed.
The righteous person faces many troubles, but the Lord comes to the rescue each time.
For the Lord protects the bones of the righteous not one of them is broken!
Calamity will surely overtake the wicked, and those who hate the righteous will be punished.
But the Lord will redeem those who serve him. No one who takes refuge in him will be condemned.

I know it's long but man it's good stuff! I hear my little man talking so he's awake and my day is about to begin. It's always good to get in the Word before your day begins!

3 weeks and counting...

Seriously the kids have been sick for 3 weeks and don't seem to be getting any better. The cold has now moved into Ethan's chest so he's been coughing the last few days. Both of them have still been congested, and both of their noses are still running like a faucet. Gracelyn has not been able to sleep in her crib for weeks now because she is so congested and can't sleep on her belly (yes I know, they aren't supposed to sleep on their bellies but it's the only way she sleeps good) so she's been sleeping with me in the extra bed in our room.

It's now 3:30 am and Ethan is up...he was crying and crying so I went and got him....poor baby is just miserable with this cough and cold. On the couch he goes, watching Imagination Movers and letting the Motrin kick in. This is pretty much our routine when he is up in the night not feeling well. Usually once the show is over he is ready to go back to bed and the Motrin seems to have kicked in which helps. He most likely has a molar coming in too so I think that's why he is up crying. Poor baby.

We just had them both at the doctor and he said it's viral and just has to run it's course. Ugh. The course has been almost a month, just crazy. So, please pray my babies start feeling better...I know their are people who have really sick kids so the common cold is nothing to complain about...and I am not trying to complain...just wanting them to feel better.

Gracelyn had her follow up appointment with the skin doctor yesterday. Her little spot hasn't changed and in fact he said that it looks like it's already on it's way to going away because it's starting to develop some whiteness around the spot. He set me up another appointment in 6 months (she will be almost 1 at that point, how crazy!) but he said if it still looks the same I can just cancel the appointment. He doesn't think I will need it and that the spot will go away quicker than it does with most kids so that is good news and I'm very thankful it's nothing serious.

Speaking of our sweet girl, she is now a roly poly:) She's been rolling from back to stomach for weeks but hadn't figured out stomach to back until yesterday. Now that she has it down she is rolling all over the place...across the room and everything...can she seriously be that old already?? Before we know it she'll be crawling....and then it will be time for another baby ;) (Yes, that is a wink!)

Anyhow, just thought I would blog since I am up at 3:30 and have already seen this episode of Imagination Movers about 100 times:)

Much love to all,
Momma Keri

Gracelyn's 4 Month Stats

Gracelyn had her 4 month check up today. She is doing well and hitting all the milestones she should be so that was good to hear. Here are her stats:

Weight: 13#13oz - 50% tile
Length: 25.5" - 90% tile

She is definitely a petite little girl, very different from her big bro:)

We gave Gracelyn some rice cereal for the first time tonight...she mainly spit it out...wasn't a big fan...but that's always how it seems to go the first time they try it. I will try here and there a couple times this week and I'm sure she'll start to like it a little more.

The kids both still have nasty colds...going on almost 3 weeks now! The last few days they both have had constant runny noses and both are congested and Ethan seems to be getting a cough or croup as of this morning. Poor babies...it's that wonderful time of year. The doc checked them both out, no medicine for either of them...it's viral and just has to run it's course. I've been feeling under the weather the last couple days also...so we are all just laying low and chilling out at home.

We went to my parents over the weekend to celebrate my dad's birthday which was nice. My mom made us all filet mignons, mashed potatoes, salad and her yummy torte for dessert...it was all SO good! I love my mom's cooking:) Thanks mom!

Tomorrow is the last music class session but due to the kids being sick we are not going. We only made it to 2 out of the 4 classes...such a bummer...and a waste of money :( Oh well, that's how life goes sometimes.

Nothing else going on with us...just praying my babies start feeling better soon. They both have still been in pretty good spirits for being sick but the nights with Gracelyn have been hard as she has trouble sleeping with being so congested.

Hope everyone is doing well and enjoying life:)

My Beautiful Little Princess

Our sweet baby girl is 4 months old today! Can you believe it? I cannot believe she has been here that long already, wow, time is going by too fast for me lately. I have mixed feelings about my babies growing up but am blessed that they are growing up healthy and happy!

Gracelyn is doing great. She's still getting over her cold so she wasn't sleeping real great the past week but last night was better and she only woke up once to nurse so that's good. I can handle one nursing in the night, she goes right back to bed afterwards. So much different than her big brother was at this age, he was an eating machine!

She is a pretty happy and smiley baby...she does seem to be really attached to me so that makes it hard for daddy at times when mommy has to go grocery shopping, etc. I went last night and Jer said she cried the whole time. The minute I got home and took her from him she immediately stopped crying. Crazy. I am a stay at home mom and she's mainly only nursing so I am her security and food source so I'm sure that has something to do with it.

She goes next week for her 4 month check up and also has a follow up appt. with the skin doctor for that spot on the back of her head. I will be sure and post her stats after the appt.

Until then, let's go down memory lane:)

Ethan's going to be a big brother!

She is such a joy and blessing to our family. She loves watching her big brother and really loves all the kisses he freely gives her daily.
