I AM Chosen!

I am chosen by God! And so are you! Isn't that incredible?

Last night was Women's Ministry at church and it was terrific.I look forward to it each month so much because the night is always so anointed. It truly was a beautiful night.

Margie shared her heart with us last night and spoke on how we are CHOSEN by God. It is a much needed message for women today to hear. Many of us believe lies about ourselves that aren't true. Whether it's from things our parents have spoken over us, friends, a spouse, a mean kid from school when we were little. We have all believed lies about us that are simply not true. Not who God says we are.

We are loved. We are beautiful. We are not a mistake. We are not rejected. We are not uncared for. We are not unwanted. We are not abandoned. We are not used goods. We are CHOSEN. It's that simple.

God created us to be us. He didn't create us to be or look like our friend or to be like Jessica Simpson or anyone else - He wants us to love who we are because He created us and we are beautiful!

We watched a You Tube video that was written and sung by Christa Black. Both Natasha Bedingfield (Hillsong London) and Jordin Sparks (American Idol) both contacted Christa within a day of her song being released asking if they could record it for themselves. What a beautiful message she speaks through this song and what a beautiful testimony it is to share with the world. Turn up your speakers and have a listen. The name of the song is "God loves Ugly". It's almost 9 minutes - but, listen to the whole thing - it's powerful!

God doesn't make anything ugly and we are offending Him when we say or believe we are ugly. We are beautiful and we are lovely. He is the most creative designer and He created us to be just the way we are. I'm so grateful to Him for creating me.

He chose me ahead of time. And you too.

Margie (the speaker) also spoke on how God is on a relentless pursuit for our heart. I couldn't agree with her more. He never gives up on us. Even when we mess up and turn away from Him He continues to pursue us because He loves us and He wants to fill our lives with His goodness and love!

I will leave you with another song that I love. We sang it last night at church and it just blesses me so much. It talks about how God is with us during the hard times and how His love comes down and rescues us and sets us free. We all go through hard and painful times in our journey through life but what a blessing to know that God is always there to carry us through.

The song began and my eyes immediately filled with tears and my throat closed up as I listened to the lyrics. My heart hurts and aches for the little baby we lost. I think about him/her all the time. As much as my heart hurts - it was also filled with thankfulness to the Lord. I'm thankful for His love. I'm thankful for Him giving me peace. I'm thankful for all the many, many beautiful things God has blessed my life with. I remind myself of all that He's done and the life that I have because of His son...and wow - it's overwhelming. I am His. Forever.

I encourage you to turn off the lights and listen to this song when it's peaceful and quiet around you. Close your eyes and just soak up the lyrics and God's Love. It's beautiful.

God has taught me different things through my miscarriage. One thing relates very much to what we talked about at church last night and not believing lies that people say over us. Recently someone came up to me and asked how I was doing. It was the first time they've seen me since my miscarriage. I told them I was doing ok and they then said to me, "It just wasn't your time."

It was a lie the enemy wanted to speak over me and believe but I instantly recognized it as not God. It still hurt my heart to hear those words but God has taught me so much about grace through my miscarriage. I know this person loves me very much and meant well - it just came out wrong. I chose to not be bitter and angry and to know that this person loves me and didn't mean to hurt me. Many times when people are grieving - people simply don't know what to say. What means the most is when people don't say anything and just love on you and listen. Something my pastor's wife said last night was right on. "When grief is the freshest, words should be the fewest." Amen and amen. That is totally something God showed me through my miscarriage. Just love on people when they are hurting - don't feel like you need to say something or give some profound advice. That is not what they need.

God created my baby and He doesn't create life to then turn around and kill it. It's not who He is. We have to realize that bad things happen in life - it's part of life - but God is NOT to blame and just because something bad happens does NOT mean it's God's will. I feel this message needs to be preached...more like screamed immensely to Christians because I hear so many people say such backwards things about God - it hurts my heart.

Praying today over you all and that you know that you are CHOSEN by God and that you are NOT a mistake!

Forever His,

Keremy ♥

My friend Claire posted this fun little questionnaire so I thought I would steal her idea - you know, just for fun :)

It's all about us. Jeremy+Keri = Keremy ♥

1. What are your middle names? Jeremy's middle name is David and mine is Michelle.
2. How long have you been together? We met in 1999, started dating in 2000 and married in 2003. 11 years and counting! ♥
3. How long did you know each other before you started dating? 6 months
4. Who asked who out? Neither of us are your typical romantics - there was never a formal invitation of being his girlfriend. We kinda just talked about it one day while I was crushing him in Super Mario Brothers on Nintendo! Yesssss! Beat by a girl :)
5. How old are each of you? I'm 29....which I still think is like 21...but then realize I'll be 30 in NOT 21! Yikes! Jeremy is 5 years and 1 day older than me. You can do the math!
6. Did you go to the same school? Nope. Seeing as he was in kindergarten when I was 1 day old - LOL
7. Are you from the same hometown? Nope. He grew up in Troy and I grew up in Canton. Both Michiganders though!
8. Who is the smartest? Well, you may not know this, but, Jeremy is a genius. Kinda a inside joke between us. But back to the actual question, I'm gonna have to go with Jeremy. Although he's just average ;) Love you baby!
9. Who majored in what? Please don't send me hate mail, but, I didn't major in anything - because college is overrated and I didn't go - ha - but my hubby majored in business and minored in sports management. I think that's right anyways...
10. Who is the most sensitive? Hmm - probably him. I'm not a real sensitive girl - and he's been sensitive since he was little. I suppose that is where Ethan gets it from :)
11. Where is the furthest you have traveled as a couple? Las Vegas baby! Why yes, I am that super awesome wife that surprised him with a 4 day trip a couple years after we married :)
12. Who has the worse temper? Neither of us really have a temper. One of the most important things to me when choosing a man to marry was a man who didn't have a temper. I'm thankful God blessed me with such a kind spirited man!
13. How many children do you want? Well, we already have two adorable children and another one in heaven. So, maybe one more. We'll see what God has in store for us!
14. Who does the cooking? Me. I love to cook. He grills though when the weather's nice. I don't do grills. They involve flames.
15. Who is more social? 100% me. I can talk your ear off!
16. Who is the most stubborn? Well, if you ask me I would say Jeremy...if you ask him he would say me :) We are both stubborn so I guess you can call it even :)
17. Who wakes up earlier? We typically wake up around the same time.
18. Who is the neat freak? Hands down me! I am a super organized, in order type of person. Like I get stressed when the sink is full of dishes, piles of laundry are unfolded on the couch, toys everywhere. It just feels good to have everything in it's place!
19. Where was your first date? I suppose Somerset Mall in Troy, MI. We held hands there for the first time. Grandma hands as Jeremy would call them. You know, when your fingers are not intertwined. Lol. Hey now, I took things real slow :)
20. Who has the bigger family? We both have big families but I'm pretty sure I have him beat. My dad has 4 brothers and 4 sisters and I am one of 3. He is one of 2. Families are awesome!
21. Do you get flowers often? Nope. Another thing that is so overrated! You spend money on a gift that dies in a few days. Umm, no thanks!
22. How do you spend the holidays? One word. Family!
23. Who is more jealous? Neither of us really. I suppose me if he is out getting Thai food without me. That's when I get jealous.
24. How long did it take to get serious? I would say within a year of dating we knew we wanted to spend forever together.
25. Who eats more? We are probably even or maybe even me. Sometimes we laugh that I seem to eat more than he does.
26. What do you do for a living? I stay home with my little ones who I teach, train, disciple and raise to be emotionally and spiritually healthy adults one day! Oh and I clean, cook, do the bills, take out the trash (hey, it's not just a man's job!), laundry, nurse, wipe stinky butts....the list goes on and on :)
27. Who does the laundry? I do...but once in awhile will ask Jer to help. When I'm way behind on it!
28. Who is better with the computer? My hubby.
29. Who drives when you're together? Usually me. I love driving!
30. What is your song? Hmm. Not sure if we really have one song...but a few bring back certain memories. Like "Trading my Sorrows" by Darrell Evans, "I will be Here" by Steven Curtis Chapman, and others I can't think of right now.

Hope you enjoyed those fun little questions about us ♥

Nothing too much to report. We may have some exciting news to share with everyone soon - but you'll just have to wait in suspense until the time is right. The kids are well (finally better!) and it felt good to be back in church this morning. Although Ethan still cries every week in the nursery and only one of us get to enjoy service. I sure hope he outgrows this soon - my sweet and sensitive boy.

Stay Blessed!

Barney & The Bumble Bee/Lady Bug

I know this is a little late in posting but here are some pics of the kids from Halloween. We headed over to my parents house to Trick or Treat (a tradition) and it was so much fun. Ethan was more into it this year and would say Trick or Treat and every time someone dropped candy in his bucket he would look at me and say, "More." Haha. Smart kid :) Gracelyn rode in the stroller the whole time and she also would say trick or treat with her big cheesy smile face and thank you - it was adorable.

I love making these memories with my kids!

Ethan has been really into Barney lately and I scored this super fun and warm costume on Ebay. He looked so cute in it and it kept him so warm. Gracelyn ended up being a Lady bug but when we took them to Trunk or Treat she was a Bumble Bee. The Bumble Bee was originally supposed to be for Ethan but yeah, it didn't fit. As you can see.

Anyhow, here are some pics of my cuties!

It was a fun night and I look forward to making lots more memories like these in years to come. Special thanks to Aunt Kristy and Grandma Petke for coming along with us for part of the way and for carrying Barney when he was too tired to walk :) And special thanks to Daddy for taking some video ♥

On a not so happy note, Ethan is on day 5 of throwing up but we are praying he will get better over the weekend and is at the end of it. I called the doc today and just updated him with what was going on and he wasn't too concerned. These viruses can last awhile. The most important thing is to keep him hydrated - which I've been doing - he hasn't had much of an appetite for the past 4 days. He's lost 3 lbs in one week :( My poor boy!

Here's one last picture of E-man. Watching a Veggie Tales video on daddy's I-Pad. This kid knows how to work it more than his momma. So cute.

Hope you all have a relaxing and health filled weekend!

Much Love,
Momma Keri ♥

My babies are still sick. It started 2 weeks ago with a cold, then coughing (they are both still coughing), then pink eye and now the flu! Gracelyn had really icky diapers all last week and threw up once and Ethan started having icky diapers the past few days (I think I had to change his clothes 3 times yesterday!) and threw up yesterday and then again this morning.

Praying this virus is gone soon - and would appreciate your prayers also!

Thanks friends!
