Marvelous March!

Hopefully by now you all are used to my infrequent blog posts. It's always on my to do list but not first on my priority list. Thank you for still coming to my blog and reading :)

We are doing well! It's been in the 70's this past week in Michigan and we are setting all sorts of records. I love it! We grilled out last week and it didn't seem real...middle of March and bbq'ing! How awesome! We are all enjoying the weather and the kids play outside a lot everyday now which is wonderful. They love to ride their bikes, play with chalk, run around and just enjoy the outdoors.

Our three amigos are doing great. E & G are still getting over a cough and cold but mostly better which I'm thankful for. They are loads of fun and I so enjoy being their momma!

Our sweet Lincoln Jude is doing well. He had his 6 month check up last week and is doing well. We are headed back to the dermatologist tomorrow because our pediatrician wants him to be seen one more time. His skin has been a lot better than it was - but he now has some raw spots/sores that he wants to get checked out. It's probably just the eczema but he wants to be sure. So, we are headed there early afternoon tomorrow. He weighed in at just 15lbs - which is the smallest of our babies at age 6 months. Ethan was 18lbs,8oz and Gracelyn was 15lbs, 3oz. He moved down on the weight scale a bit so he wants me to bring him in in a month just to weigh him again - but I know he's fine and he likes to eat :) He's already gained almost a pound since that appt. (weighing him at home) so he's doing just fine :) Tomorrow late afternoon I also have Ethan's 4 year check-up, so we'll see how he's doing too :) Busy day tomorrow!

He is such a happy little guy. He tries talking now, rolls over and is such a joyful little boy. I feel so grateful for our children, they truly make my life so much better! Being a mom is such a wonderful thing and I enjoy my little ones so much! God is good!

Speaking of little ones, I would so appreciate prayers for my friend's new baby boy, who is just about a week old - not even. He was born at 35 weeks, 3 days and is in the NICU due to having some trouble breathing. They then discovered he had a hole in his lung. So, needless to say, it's been a rough start for little Hunter Zion and hard on mom and dad too. They haven't been able to hold him much and he's been hooked up to all sorts of things - it's heartbreaking to see your baby like that. Will you please pray for my friends, Bryan and Claire and for Hunter and all the doctors too. I'm believing for healing and that his breathing will get better each day on his own so he can start taking off the machinery and soon be in momma's arms again and very soon get to go home! I know they would so appreciate your prayers, thank you!

My Scentsy and Photography has been going well - I'm enjoying them both. I've only done 1 session in these winter months so I haven't done much for many months - but now that the weather is starting to get nice early, it's starting to pick up again. I did my very first maternity photo session last night and enjoyed it sooo much! It was with someone who found me through Craigslist and they are expecting their first baby, a little boy (I know the two potential names but it's a secret until he arrives to everyone else) and they were such a lovely couple and were up for all of my ideas. Very nice to work with! I haven't had a chance to sit down and look through all the photos just yet, but here's a sneak peek I posted a little while ago on my photography facebook page. Isn't this precious? Oh how I love pregnancy and the miracle of new life!!

I hope I get to do more maternity sessions this spring and summer because I really loved it!!

My dear cousin Angela is due in just a couple weeks with their first baby, a little girl and I couldn't be more excited for her and her husband, Tommee! I plan to travel to Grand Rapids to visit and do photos once baby arrives, I cannot wait! She's going to be a beautiful baby girl and I just can't wait to meet her and for my cousin to become a momma and see how wonderful it is:) I'll be sure and post a photo or two from that session in the near future :)

Scentsy is going well. Tomorrow will be one month that I've joined and I just had my first party that was booked by a friend this past weekend. It went very well and was a great party! I honestly love, love, love these products which makes it so easy for me to talk about and be passionate about. Next Saturday, March 31st is my Open House party. If you live local and would like to stop by, I would so love that! It's from 4-7 pm. Thirty one bags will be here also - they offer tons of cute bags and you can get them monogrammed. My neighbor just became a consultant and they have super cute stuff. If you live out of state and would like to support me in my first big open house party, you can order directly online. I would so appreciate it! I will post the link below if you would like to place an order. If you have any questions at all about the products, please send me an email. If you are new to Scentsy and aren't sure what to get, email me! Lots of cute warmers, lots of delicious smelling scents and they offer combine and save packages to help save you money. I'll be closing my party on April 2nd at noon so put your order in before that date - thanks :) To order: https://keriharrison.scentsy.us/Buy?partyId=73838408

I want to get started on editing that Maternity session while the older two are still napping so that's all for now. Here's a super adorable picture of Lincoln from his 6 month photo shoot. What a doll, I know!!

February happenings...

Hi friends and family!

It's hard to believe it's almost March! We have had such a mild winter here in Michigan it has been so nice. It has snowed a bit the last couple days and I have to say I have been enjoying the snow...at least looking at it from inside my warm & cozy home. I used to complain about the cold weather but I do my best not to do that anymore because each day we are given is truly a blessing. Life is precious and I don't want to take any of my days here on earth for granted. I've been blessed with so much and have so much to thank God for each day....to complain about silly things like snow is just not in my vocabulary anymore!

We are doing well here. I am enjoying my kids so much. Ethan just turned 4 on Valentine's Day and I have loved every minute of what a 4 year old brings so far! The conversations we have had lately are just hilarious and so cute.

I took Ethan with me to Nordstrom's the other day to try on a dress for a wedding I'm in this summer. We were in the dressing room and I was struggling to get my dress completely zipped up by myself. When I finally got it on and was looking in the mirror he looked at me and said, "Mom, you are looking cute." I almost fell over from his cuteness!! He was totally serious when saying it and it definitely ranks as one of my favorite moments with him. I love taking the kids out alone with me at times and having that one on one time with them. It's always special. I remember when I was little my dad used to do that with us. I strongly remember going to Dunkin Donuts with him and getting a donut and hot cocoa. It's those moments you really do remember as a child. It's one of the special memories I have with my dad.

Gracelyn is a joy. Her middle name suits her well. She's full of life and fiestyness....she's sweet...she's amazingly beautiful...and the love she shares with Ethan is simply priceless. Ethan feels the same about her. He doesn't nap everyday and when he's up with me and she is sleeping he asks to wake her up. Why? "Because I like Grae mom." People looked at us like we were crazy when we got pregnant with Gracelyn and Ethan was only 6 months old but this is why we love it. We always wanted to have our children close in age so they could really be close. If I was just having our 2nd baby now I don't feel they would have that special closeness...the gap is just so big. So, while some days may be a little crazy and overwhelming as we are raising little ones, I absolutely love it and wouldn't trade it for the world!

Lincoln is such a sweet little boy. It's hard to believe he is almost 6 months already. I'm pretty sure he's been teething for the past few weeks as he always has his hands in his mouth and has had a harder time sleeping lately *yawn*. I enjoy this age so much though and cherish my sweet baby boy. His life truly reminds me of God's goodness and love daily. Losing a baby a few months before getting pregnant was hard. It was emotionally heart breaking and I felt a sadness I had never experienced before. So, having Lincoln here with us now has been extra special for my heart. All my kids are special and so loved, don't get me wrong....but experiencing a new life and a new baby after a loss really changes you. He smiles the minute I look at him and smile and I always think how God gave me this super smiley child to just warm my heart. He's getting so cute and I just love him so much! He loves to watch his older and brother play during the day and I think longs to play with them! It's so cute to watch and I enjoy it because I know before long he will be running and playing along side them.

So, what else is new? Well, I have some exciting news! As of yesterday, I have officially decided to join the Scentsy team! I am now a Scentsy consultant. What is Scentsy you ask? Well, I will be sending out an email soon to all my friends & family sharing what it is and why I decided to join so be on the lookout :) To give you a little glimpse, they are like candles but so much better! They are wickless - flameless wax that you melt in cute and stylish warmers for your home. They offer over 80 delicious smelling scents for your warmers and are affordable! I'm really excited about this new adventure I'm starting! It's totally something I'm already so passionate about and I believe God will give me favor selling these products and in return it will bless my family!

I'm hosting a party tonight - but after tonight I will be selling for myself, as an independent consultant and will start hosting my own parties and hopefully you will maybe host one for me too :) You can earn free product for yourself and also be a blessing financially to our family. The cool thing is even if you live out of state you can still have a party for me! I will mail you a catalog and you can meet up with friends for coffee or invite them over for a girls night and casually look through the catalog and write down the orders. If you get over $150 in orders (which really is pretty easy) shipping is free. You then email me your orders, I plug them into my online website and order for you and they will be shipped to the hostess home! It's that simple!

My starter kit is on the way and once I receive that and get my personal website up and running I'll be sending out that email to you all and you can read more as to why I joined and why I would cherish your support! I'm really excited about it :)

I'll leave you with the latest photo of our adorable newest addition :)

I finally took the plunge...

and got myself an iPhone :) I knew I would love it once I could get past the frustration of texting with a touch screen phone. It just took some getting used to but I've only had the phone 2 days and I'm already used to it and loving it!

Jeremy and I had a sitter on Saturday night and went out on a date so that was fun. Lincoln came along with us but that's still pretty much a date since he's so little :) We got some delicious Thai food and then headed over to Novi to walk the mall and then stopped in Brighton on the way home to get my phone. The Novi store was out of the white iPhones which is what I wanted. We had a nice time out and the kids loved playing with the sitter too :)

Last week Weds I woke up with the motivation to paint our bedroom. I got my Sherwin Williams color strip out and found a color that matched the blue color in our comforter. I taped everything off while the kids were playing and then painted while they napped. It took me 2 days and 2 coats but we absolutely love it! My hubby had no idea I was doing this so it was a total surprise when he came home Weds night to half the room painted. He was quite impressed, as am I :) I still have a portion to do but ran out of paint and haven't had a chance to run out and grab it yet. It's mostly done though and it looks so great. Here's the before and after :)

Other than my new phone and our freshly painted room there isn't too much new. Gracelyn is still sick with a cough and cold which has been almost 2 weeks :( She's never been sick this long before so it's sad to see. Praying she is better soon. The germs spread to the boys and Lincoln has been sick for the past 4 days and Ethan started getting it just yesterday. All have colds and the croupy cough and Lincoln has a bit of wheezing too. I cannot wait until they are all healthy and back to themselves! Hard on the kids and mom and dad when little ones are ill...especially all three.

My girlfriend who I had a baby shower for a few weeks back had her baby girl this past Monday. She was a month early, which they knew would most likely be the case as her last 2 children came at 35 weeks too. She was born and needed to be on oxygen, iv and a feeding tube. Despite all those things she was doing well but still needed prayer. 4 days later when my friend was going home baby girl Vada got to go home as well! Many of us were praying as well as our church and it was such a wonderful testimony to see how God answers our prayers. She is doing great and I'll be photographing that sweet little one soon and I cannot wait :)

Little Lincoln is crying so I gotta go....enjoy your day and stay blessed :)

One month....

I'm one month pregnant.

Kidding. Did I get any of you? ;)

What I was going to say is it's been a month since I've blogged. Life is busy, what can I say...that's my only excuse and I think a good one. While I've missed blogging more regularly it's not top on my priority list. My kids and husband are...so sorry :)

So, what's new? Let's start with our oldest.

Ethan is almost four and it's so hard to believe. It seems like just yesterday he was born and he'll be four in just a few short weeks. We love him so much. He's really starting to become like a little adult these days (minus the tantrums and throwing things at times...oh wait...adults do those things too sometimes...unfortunately!) and he cracks us up. He's at the fun age where he has a mind of his own and says funny things all the time. He also will start laughing at something he thinks is funny and it just cracks us up. I feel so blessed to have had almost 4 wonderful years already with our boy. He's such a sweet and sensitive kid and really is a lot of fun. He loves going to church these days, which is so great! He was going through a very long period of having separation anxiety but is finally on the other side and it's so wonderful. As parents, we both were very sensitive to that and never forced him to stay in sunday school without us...we knew it was a season and we wanted him to feel secure and comforted and knew eventually he would love it. He does. In fact, a couple weeks ago when I dropped him off to his class I went in to give him a kiss and he then told me to leave :) Well then! Ha! Praise God :)

Gracelyn....wow...she sure is growing up also. She's a little over 2 and a half and there's nothing baby about my baby girl anymore. She's talking constantly and mimicking mostly what her big brother says. She makes us laugh all the time with her silly facial expressions and her silly self. Her hair is finally long enough that mommy can put it back into a pony tail and boy is she cute! She wouldn't let me touch her hair for the longest time but has been better about it lately which I've so loved. I was just looking at her this morning, thanking God for her. I thank God for all my kids on a regular basis...but this morning I was thanking God for her specifically. I just love having a daughter and know we will have so many special moments and memories together...us girls. I can't wait! She's a bit under the weather right now with a cough and cold but is slowly starting to get a bit better.

Lincoln is going on 5 months here soon and needs to slow down :) I am enjoying the baby stage so much and don't want it to go by so quickly. He is such a joy and wonderful addition to our family. We are pretty sure he is our most smiley baby. He's almost always happy and smiles so easily. He's stinkin' cute too - oh how I love my little boy! He's been having some bad skin issues for the past couple months that we've been trying to figure out. To make a long story short, he's been to the pediatrician, dermatologist and allergist all within the last couple weeks to really try and figure this out. The good news is he is not allergic to dairy, soy, wheat or chocolate (Thank God!) and that is awesome awesome news. As he went to the allergist to get 4 separate pokes the nurse told me he was going to cry...but he didn't!! He did so good! I was extremely happy to find out he wasn't allergic to any of those things. It seems the verdict is that he just has severe atopic dermatitis. Really senstive and dry skin basically. So, we are trying to keep it under control with a few different creams - which help most days. Some days his skin is more irritated and itchy and it's obvious he's uncomfortable. He's doing well though and we believe he will outgrow it and we continue to pray over him.

There you have it, an update on our sweet babes :)

I've hosted/planned 2 baby showers this past month as well as helped plan a good friend's 30th birthday. It was all so much fun! February will be busy also as we are hosting our 6th annual Super Bowl party, Ethan's Birthday party the following weekend and then also I am having a Scentsy party towards the end of month as well. If you aren't familiar with Scentsy, you should come to my party. They are wickless candles...and they have all these cute warmers you put them in and there are tons of awesome scents you can get. My party will be at 6:30 on Thurs the 23rd of Feb. so mark it down if you would like to come!

Some other good news is that we have finally found a babysitter, outside of family. This has been a big deal for me....as we have only really left our kids with my mom and sister and my in-laws a couple times. We've needed to find a babysitter for awhile though as family isn't always available and we need date nights and other things that come up. So anyhow, I've been praying about it for awhile and just finding a great girl that we can trust and so far we like her. We left the older 2 kids with her a few weeks ago while Jeremy and I and the baby had a date night, dinner and a movie. It was really nice for us and Lincoln even slept through the 2 and a half hour movie :) So great! She goes to our church and some dear friends of ours recommended her. Anyhow, she's great and the kids loved her and were talking about her throughout the week. It was cute.

Well, the kids should be up from their naps soon and it's 3pm and I have yet to shower. I think I'll try and get a hot shower in real quick and then off to start getting dinner going :) Homemade Chicken Pot Pie....yum-o!

I'll leave with a couple cute pics of our little Lincoln. He's a doll!

Much Love,

Ps. I have to say, have you glanced at the pics of my children lately on the right hand side? Man, we make some beautiful babies :)

Dec 21, 2011

It's almost Christmas :)

Hi friends and fam!

Another blogpost from me, what do ya know :) They are rare these days but I'm sure they'll pick up again more frequently at some point.

We are all doing well. A week ago today we took the kids to a Mexican restaurant to see "Buzz Lightyear" from Toy Story. Each month the restaurant hosts a new kids character and has a kids nigh. The kids always enjoy it, as do we. It was our 3rd time going. Unfortunately later that night I got very sick with food poisoning. As did Jeremy. Thankfully the kids did not eat what we did...which was really a miracle because Gracelyn almost always eats everything we do but happened not too that night. A blessing from God!

I guess we can't 100% say it was food poisoning from their food but I'm pretty confident since it hit us both at the very same time. I was pretty sick for 2 days...and it's been a week and my stomach is actually still not totally settled. Food poisoning can drag out and I think that's the case with me. I just wanted to thank my in laws and my mom for coming to help watch the kids while we were sick. It was the first time since having kids that we were both so sick at the same time and couldn't watch the kids. Thankful for family! Friends too who offered to come and take the kids.

Aside from all that, we are doing pretty good. You all should have received our newsletter by now so you know what the Harrison's are up to these days :)

I'm excited for Christmas! It's my most favorite time of year. I just love everything about it!! I LOVED Christmas as a child and remember waking up at the wee hours of the morning and waking my siblings saying, "Wake up!! It's CHRISTMAS!!!!" We would then hurry down the stairs in our pj's and check out all the gifts and put them in piles. A Kristy, Keri and Craig pile. We would see our stockings overflowing with goodies and just stare at them wishing we could dump them out! We would run upstairs and try and get mom and dad to wake up so we could get the party started but nope, it was only 5am...go back downstairs you guys, we'll come down when it's time. Which was usually like 8....but we didn't care...the anticipation of guessing what we got and our excitement was just the best! I can remember those feelings of Christmas morning so much and not much has changed. I still get the same feelings :) The fun thing now is that I'm married with 3 beautiful babies! And now we get to watch their joy and excitement as they get blessed with new toys and clothes.

We have lots of fun things planned for the rest of the week and I can't wait :)

We hosted the Harrison Christmas (around 40 people) this past weekend and it was wonderful. We had a nice time seeing everyone and catching up! I'll post some photos at some point I'm sure.

In the meantime, here's a photo of my almost 4 year old boy! Is he not the cutest? I just love this kid. He's so sweet & has the most sensitive spirit.

I was cracking up at him the other night. He is very observant and remembers everything. I had just gotten him out of the bath and he looked at me in all seriousness and said, "I like your cute face mom." After I melted I thanked him and just smiled. I'm constantly telling the kids they have cute faces :) Funny how he pays attention and uses it on me :) The next thing he said made me laugh so hard. "Mom, I like your cute bottom." Baahahahahaha!!! When the kids have naked bums I'm always telling them they have cute little bottoms. Ha! So funny.

And here's a photo of our beautiful Gracelyn Joy. Her beauty constantly amazes me. Really. She's just in her pj's and woke up not long before I took this pic..and she's snackin' on something...and yet her beauty is just amazing! I love this sweet girl of mine. She's a hoot.

Last but not least, here's a photo of my sweet Lincoln Jude....on his 3 month birthday. Could he be more precious? I think not!

Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas!

Love,
The Harrison Crib

Blog? What's that? :)

Hi friends and family.

I know, where have I been? Well, just at home...with my 3 babies under the age of 4...I'm a busy momma, what can I say :)

I don't have time to really sit down and write a post but thought I would post an updated picture of our sweet boy. He's almost 3 months! Crazy....and is now in 3-6 month clothes. Slow down little buddy!

He's doing great and is cute as can be!

Big bro and sis are doing great also....and I'm getting ready to decorate some homemade sugar cookies with them so I gotta go :)

Thanksgiving was so wonderful as we spent 3 days away with the Petke clan at Bair Lake Bible Camp. Kids did great and we had such a nice time. Looking forward to Christmas....being in our new home this year AND having a new baby boy to snuggle :)

Much love from all of us!

Lincoln Love

I'm so in love with this little guy!

He is just the cutest! I love his little face. He resembles Jeremy and my mother in law a lot in that last photo. Lincoln definitely looks most like Jeremy and the 'Marks' side of the family out of our three babes. Ethan and Gracelyn favor the 'Petke' side more (my maiden name). I do see Lincoln looking like his brother and sister at times...but the first thing I said once I saw him was that he looked different than our other two. He still does to me....yet still looks like his brother and sister at times also. They are all so beautiful!

What a blessing it is to be a mom. A gift I am so thankful for.

Kids are doing good but have all been under the weather with colds this past week. They are on the mend though so I'm thankful!

3 photo sessions on the schedule this weekend :) Looking forward to it!

Here's a few from a session I did for some very good friends last weekend.

Enjoy your weekend!
