Jesus, I love you...
A friend posted this song on her blog today....I haven't heard it in awhile and it is one of my favorites and it is so beautiful. The kids are napping, it's quiet and rainy...I closed my eyes while playing it and tears rolled down my face. Jesus, I can't thank you enough.
We have so much in Him. His love is so amazing and unconditional.
Love you daddy,
Keri

What's new...
First off, I'M PREGNANT!!!!!!!!!!!
Totally kidding, lol. (I bet your hearts dropped mom and Jude for just a second, haha) Anyhow, I gave my blog a new makeover, your thoughts? It is almost time for Michigan football to start which is my first indicator that fall is here so I thought I would go with a fall themed background :)
All is well with us. Ethan has met his newest love, blueberries! He loves them which makes mommmy happy that he loves something so healthy for him. I forgot to mention the doctor gave us the go ahead to try peanut butter so we will try that this weekend I'm sure. He told us to just watch him carefully (in case he had a allergic reaction) but that he thinks he will do just fine with it...I'm sure he will.
It is so funny how each child is so different and has special things about them that make them so cute. Of course Gracelyn is still so little so she just sits there and looks pretty but I know she will have countless cute things about her as she continues to grow. Here's a cute story about Ethan.
One day last week as we were hanging out at home Jeremy saw an ant on the floor. He quickly went and grabbed his sandal and ended the ant's life. Ethan was watching. A few days later I was nursing Gracelyn and Ethan was playing. I saw a bug of some sort over by the tile floor (same spot) and Ethan spotted it, ran over and grabbed the sandal that daddy had used in the week prior and smacked the ant with the sandal. It was the funniest thing and I bursted out laughing. Could he be any cuter? I of course had to call daddy and tell him and he got a laugh out of it too.
Ethan is really trying to talk. He says, "Ball, Please, Walk, and a couple others I can't think of right now. Of course they don't come out like they do when we say them but he has his own cute way of saying them. Such a cute little boy he is.
Gracelyn is doing great. She is our little sleeping beauty. Sleeping 8-10 hours for us at night which is SUCH a blessing. She doesn't cry often unless she's really hungry or needs to be changed. I can't imagine having an easier baby than her. She is changing so fast and is so smiley and starting to laugh. She's such a doll and I still can't believe I am a mommy of two beautiful kids. Love em'!
I am really looking forward to this weekend. Jeremy and I are going out on a date tomorrow night to celebrate our anniversary. Six years can you believe it? Here's one of my favorite pictures from our wedding day.
And here's a picture of my daddy-o walking me down the aisle. I love this pic.
My mom is coming over to watch the kids for us and we are planning on going to dinner and a movie. We have not been to a movie since I was pregnant with Ethan so I am really looking forward to a date night with my hubby!
Sunday we are headed over to my parents to celebrate our birthday's. I requested my mom's yummy homemade pizza for my birthday dinner so that is what we are having. I also requested a Sam's cake along with my favorite ice cream so it's going to be a fun weekend :)
Have a great weekend blog readers...only a few more weekends to enjoy this hot summer weather!

Check-ups
Jeremy and I took both kids to the doctor's this morning for Ethan's 18 month check up and Gracelyn's 2 month check up. Here are their stats:
Ethan: Weight - 25lbs (50% tile)
Length - 34.5 inches (90-95% tile)
Gracelyn: Weight - 11lbs. 10.5oz (50-75% tile)
Length - 23.75 inches (75-90% tile)
Gracelyn is 9 weeks so we are a little past her 2 month mark but she gained a little over 2 lbs since her 1 month visit and grew an inch or so.
Both kids are healthy and are hitting all the milestones they should be so I thank God for healthy babies! Gracelyn has had a little purple/pink mark on the back of her head since she was 3 weeks old. The doctor looked at it when she was 4 weeks and wasn't concerned and thought maybe it was just a scratch. It's still there though so I pointed it out to him again. He looked at it and said he's not sure what it is. He said he's not worried about it and it doesn't look scary or anything and doesn't think they will "do" anything about it but that he would like for a skin doctor to look at it just in case. So, she will go next week to have it checked.
Gracelyn goes back again at 4 months for her check up and Ethan's next check up is at 2 years. It's hard to believe our baby boy is on his way to becoming 2!
Oh I almost forgot...Gracelyn's head is growing just fine! I knew it would :)
That's all for now,
Keri

Our Weekend
I can't believe how fast this summer is going by. I remember when I was a kid I always had to start school on my birthday...how is that fair? :)
Jeremy and I will be celebrating our 6th wedding anniversary on Sunday and both of our birthday's a few days after that so it's always a fun week for us.
Our weekend was nice. We enjoyed the hot weather and Jeremy went swimming a few times in the pool. We spent some time with my family this weekend and our brakes on our car needed to be fixed so my dad spent Sunday afternoon doing that for us so we were thankful. It's nice to get a brake job done for $28 :)
Now, on to the most exciting part of my weekend, lol! I hit Kmart, CVS and Walgreens and bought the following:
~ 4 large bottles of Ajax Liquid Soap
~ 1 Softsoap
~ 1 Softsoap Body Wash
~ 4 Dove deodorants
~ 2 Speed Stick deodorants
~ 3 scrubbing bubbles toilet cleaning gels
~ 1 Philips earhook/headphones set
~ 2 packs of ten paper mate pens
~ 4 pop up tape dispensers
~ 2 packs of 150 filler paper
Total Price: $76.10
Keri's Price: $2.76!!!!
I showed up at Kmart right when they opened on Sunday and there were 4 of us ladies with our coupons in hand and grocery carts ready, lol. I felt like I was on the show Supermarket Sweep. I just can't believe I didn't know about all these little secrets earlier....saving money and getting free stuff is so much fun, I'm lovin' it. It's always nice to have a hobby that doesn't cost you any money:)
Anyhow, we had a blessed weekend and our little munchkins are doing wonderful and bring smiles to our faces constantly. We are blessed!

My 1st Kroger shopping trip as a coupon girl....
was very successful! I got "The Flint Journal" this past Sunday to begin my coupon clipping as well as looking at the ads for the grocery stores to see what was on sale this week. I have never done this before except for the coupons my sister always gives me and I can't believe it took me this long to realize how much money I have wasted on just running in the store and buying whatever. Sale or no sale. It doesn't mean I won't buy anything again that isn't on sale but it's silly to not take advantage of free money when possible.
So Ethan and I headed over to Kroger in GB (our old stomping grounds) and I had my paper, coupons and list in hand.
I got the following:
~ 2 bags of shredded cheese
~ 3 bags of sliced deli cheese
~ 1 bag of baby carrots
~ 2 boxes of cereal
~ 2 gallons of milk
~ 2 packages of cookies
~ 1 package of diapers
~ 3 boxes of kleenex
Normally it would have cost me $44.84 but just by looking in the Kroger ad this week to see what was on sale and using coupons for some of these items on top of that it only cost me $19.85! I saved $25.00! Is that awesome or what? If I would have only started doing this when I first got married (almost 6 years ago) I would probably have enough money (that I wasted on paying full price) to buy a minivan. Ugh.
I was most excited about getting a package of diapers for $3.50....what a deal!!
Time for bed....I'll probably dream about coupons tonight, lol.

It's Official....
I have become a coupon, freebie, giveaway addict! A couple of my friends and family members have been doing this for awhile now (mainly saving a ton of $ by looking at the store ads in the newspaper each week and using coupons, etc) and I am finally starting to get into it and understand how wonderful it is! You can get stuff for dirt cheap and sometimes even MAKE money if you know what you're doing. Unreal! I am finding a ton of awesome websites that tell you all sorts of tips, tricks, freebies, giveaways, printable coupons and more. It's so fun to save money and get free stuff! So, I have been a little consumed with this the past few days :)
You have to take advantage of this specific promotion I found. If you are NOT a Schwan's customer (the yellow truck that delivers ice cream as well as a TON of food items) this deal is for you! Go to this site, www.schwans.com/free and choose ANY item that is $10 or less and the item is free and so is delivery! You don't have to spend a penny! They are offering this for the first 500,000 new customers. I'm thinking their hope is that you order your free item and like it and decide to order from them. I ordered the Angus Mini Cheeseburgers for $9.99 and my cost was $0 and they will be delivered on Thursday:) If you have any questions let me know :)
I already signed up for 20 freebies (free samples of coffee, snacks, paper towel and more!) and can't wait to start getting little packages in the mail. All for FREE!
If you get the Sunday paper and do not use coupons and I see you often please save your coupon inserts for me. Thanks:)

Bring Lily Home
So I've been following Adrienne's blog for awhile now on their journey of bringing home baby #2. After they have gone through many miscarriages and 2 failed adoptions, they are finally waiting to bring home their sweet girl who they have named Lily from South Korea. They are trying to raise money by having a few different giveaways as well as doing fundraisers to help with the cost of their adoption. Check out her blog! http://www.our-journey-to-parenthood.blogspot.com/
I hope to win the camera....along with everyone else, lol!
